20th Century Women
In 1979 Santa Barbara, Calif., Dorothea Fields is a decided single parent in her mid-50s who is bringing up her youthful child, Jamie, at a second overflowing with social change and insubordination. Dorothea enrolls the assistance of two more youthful ladies - Abbie, a free-vivacious punk craftsman living as a visitor in the Fields' home and Julie, a sagacious and provocative adolescent neighbor - to help with Jamie's childhood.
